Pressure Cooker Teriyaki Chicken Wings

I could go on an on for days about how much I LOVE my instant pot. But I decided not to bore you. I received an instant pot for Christmas and have cooked something in it nearly every day since I got it. I love it so much!


These would be perfect for new years eve and it’s so easy to modify it with basically any flavor you want. The teriyaki sauce is a nice sweet tangy flavor that many are sure to love!

Cooker Time: 8 minutes

Natural Pressure Release for 10 minutes then Quick pressure release

Broil for 6 minutes

What you need:

2-3lbs Chicken wings

1 jar teriyaki sauce*

Sesame Seeds

2 tablespoons sesame oil (or veggie)


*the teriyaki sauce we used already had sesame seeds in it so I didn’t use any additional. Also, when picking one out make sure it’s on the thicker side it sticks to the wings much better. Or better yet you could make your own using this recipe.

Mix together the teriyaki sauce, 1tablespoon sesame seeds and 1tablespoon sesame oil. Pour it in a ziploc bag and add in all the chicken wings. Mix together.

Turn your pressure cooker onto Saute and put the chicken wings in brown them on each side.

Pour over the sauce the chicken wings in the instant pot and turn on. I used Manual at 8 minutes and they turned out perfectly.

While they are cooking get a baking sheet and spread over a piece of parchment paper. Turn your broiler on to 450 degrees (ours takes FOREVER to get up to temp and was not even up to temp by the time the pressure cooker was done cooking >.<)

When timer goes off on chicken wings allow it to do natural pressure release for 10 minutes then quick release it the rest of the way. I add a dishrag over the spout just in case when I do the quick release.

Take out the chicken wings and line them on the cookie sheet. I brushed some of the sauce over them at this point but it’s not a requirement.

Broil for 6 or so minutes to crisp up.
